ISAC & Cyber Intelligence

Turn collective intelligence into actionable cyber resilience.

The institutional challenge

No institution can defend alone against evolving threats. The financial-sector cybersecurity community needs a trusted way to exchange information and cooperate, connected to international intelligence.

When the Senegal chapter was launched in February 2023, practitioners said that the whole sector is ready to move towards collaboration and information sharing, but needs guidance and a code of conduct.

What ACRC does

The ACRC ISAC aims to foster the financial-sector cybersecurity community at the continental level, connected to international intelligence, enabling trusted information exchange and cooperation.

ACRC acts as facilitator of national chapters. An essential task of the chapters is to bring local requirements to the attention of the African financial community through ACRC, so that appropriate mutualized solutions can be set up.

A group of CISOs from banks and microfinance institutions volunteered to launch the chapters for Senegal and Côte d'Ivoire, following ACRC's first conference on the subject in Dakar in November 2022. The African cybersecurity information and best-practice sharing community is one of ACRC's two flagship initiatives.

Expected outcome

Trusted information exchange and cooperation across the financial-sector cybersecurity community, connected to international intelligence.
